Community Outreach

Opening Our Doors

We believe the church is God’s house and our desire is to open our doors to welcome the community as God welcomes us.

CPC welcomes the following programs into the church as an outreach to our Springboro Community:

OCTOBER OUTREACH PROJECT

Family Promise Cleaning Drive

Family Promise needs trash bags of all sizes (big black ones, kitchen and bathroom sizes), sponges, brooms, dust pans and cleaning buckets. We will be collecting these items during the month of October.  A bin will be available in the Narthex.  Thank you in advance from the Outreach for helping this wonderful homeless ministry.

Community Blood Center

For over ten years we have helped to save lives throughout the Miami Valley by opening our doors to Community Blood Center for blood drives approximately every 8 weeks.  See the calendar for the next blood drive at Covenant.  You can schedule an appointment to donate blood at the next drive by going to www.donortime.com. Each unit of blood can save up to three lives!!
If you have questions, call 1-800-388-GIVE.

Clothes that Work

Assists individuals moving from public assistance to job employment by outfitting them for interviews and appropriate work attire.  The service provides a much needed resource for the next step toward a career.  We collect business appropriate attire for men and women and deliver them to Clothes That Work to outfit individuals in the job assistance program.

Food Pantries

We support two food pantries:  Springboro Community Assistance Center and Franklin Area Community Services.  Food drives are held throughout the year as well as giving them monetary donations.  At Thanksgiving and Easter we help many families with dinner and enough groceries for a week. For information about these community centers go to www.facswarren.org.
